It's been a slow week on the blog but a busy week in the office. Trust us, it's possible.
Anyway, the Dynamo were out on the Robertson Stadium field again today and went through their first 11 v. 11 work of the season. You'd be surprised at how different it can be from the small-sided games. The team wearing yellow pennies won the roughly 40-minute game 2-1, by our count, on goals from Luis Landin and Geoff Cameron. Dominic Oduro pulled one back for the team in orange late in the game. In the featured picture above, Tyler Deric (
featured today on HoustonDynamo.com) made a sparkling save on a close-range Cam Weaver shot. Down in the bottom right, Brad Davis used a flashy move to get free on the end line before sending in a right-footed cross.
We did a good number of video interviews after practice, including chats with the remaining new guys. We will share them with you on HoustonDynamo.com as we are able - we were set to upload two today but technical issues have been preventing us. We also got Brian Mullan on camera, which as some of you may know is quite a feat! Wait 'til you see what he had to say.
The Dynamo will be back in action with a scrimmage tomorrow morning against Houston Baptist at 9 a.m. at Robertson. We hope you can join us for the match, but in case you're stuck at home, we intend to provide a live blog in this space during the game. We also hope to (technology willing) post video highlights on HoustonDynamo.com tomorrow afternoon. We've heard two 45-minute halves for the scrimmage tomorrow, but there's always a chance it could change to three 30s as the FC Dallas scrimmage went last year.
Until tomorrow, Forever Orange!
