Dixon, UNC open College Cup tonight
Dynamo Academy and University of North Carolina forward Alex Dixon is in the national spotlight tonight when UNC plays in the national semifinals against unbeaten and top-ranked Akron tonight at 6:30 p.m. CT (ESPNU). Hopefully Alex will continue his torrid scoring pace (three goals in three NCAA tournament games). It's way too early to annoint him as the next Dynamo home-grown player signing, but it's worth noting that Dynamo coaches Dominic Kinnear and John Spencer have both seen Dixon play during this NCAA tourney.
